With the vision of creating a safe space outside gender and societal norms, Balav is a luxury street fashion house born in 2021, with an aim to normalize experimenting. Each article of clothing is made in light of a story that draws its inspiration from daily life and incorporates a wild presence of the Mumbai streets.

 

Always intrigued by the idea of dressing people up her own way, Vaishnavi’s interest towards fashion came thru when her grandma made her a backless velvet dress held together with a metal ring. Its so interesting to learn that you can do so much with clothing by just figuring newer ways, more like innovative jugaad haha!
